I've been on the fence for a bit trying to decide if I want to plop down the cash for a Kwiklift. I know it would make working on my Z06 a lot easier not to mention any other vehicle. Kwiklift will still give me the 10% forum discount, as I already spoke with them. The thing is, I don't own a truck, nor do I have a friend with one. And from what I understand the lift isn't delivered to your house but to a trucking company and you have to pick it up from there. So most likely I would have to rent a truck, which adds to the purchase expense.
I know it's a good product and it would get plenty of use. It's just still a lot of money for me right now. And many of you that know my posts, I like to save money on things I buy. So I am very frugal. Can any of you provide me with information that would help me decide? Pictures would help.

As you also stated you can rent a truck.
I may have kwiklift make a shorter one for me. Not sure, just thought I'd make the offer. The lift works great. I just don't have the depth to my garage to allow for the parkings ramps to fit inside and give me enough clearance around the car with the garage door closed.
Talk to Kwiklift about trucking companies near you. They can find a terminal pretty close, with all of their contacts. I have a Yukon XL and was able to get the lift loaded in the back. The terminal had a lift truck that put it right in the back. I did have to leave the doors open a little, but not much. They ship a second box that is about 2.5 ft. sq. that I just opened and put the contents in the back without any problem.
So, they are great lifts and you can get it in a Suburban or Yukon XL if you can borrow one. Hope this helps.
I'm local here in oklahoma. I did not have to pay shipping, BUT, I did have to pay the good old Oklahoma sales tax - 9.25%
I figured that I practically paid for the lift when I did the tranny removal on my Camaro.
I had a buddy do the actual internal repair, but just the removal and the re-install would have been 600 or 700 bucks.
You do know that for 29.00 you can rent a truck....
I think I stated in my first post, I could do this but it adds to the overall cost of buying the lift. The only way I could afford my Vette is by pinching my pennies. If I were wealthy this wouldn't even be an issue. But the older I get the easier I want to make working on my car. Hard to imagine the day will come when I won't be able to do things myself. That will be a sad day indeed.

Shylor, what is the closest terminal that kwiklift can deliver to you? Maybe a member with a truck can help you out. I am sure someone close by will help you out. Central coast could be anywhere between Santa Cruz and Morro Bay.
