Default rocking seating problem

Did anyone ever come out with a kit to fix this problem? I have read a couple threads on it and it appears to be a pain in the @#$. If you buy a replacement track for the power seats does that solve it? Probably the most expensive solution.

Any ideas from those that have dealt with it.

I feel the same. Mine dose it but the "how to's" seem like a real pain in the butt.

I looked and a new seat track is about $700.00

So they will cover it under GMPP warranty? My 02 is starting to do it now. I've been waiting until I have a few things that need to be fixed under warranty so I can get as much fixed for the 100.00 deductible at one time.

Oh cool! I haven't seen a thread on rocking seats for a couple of months.

Wanna know how to fix them?

Here ya go!

http://robbs.js-x.com/ken/vette1/

BTW, Easy job Nylon spacers
3/4 od X 7/16 id X 13/64 (.203) thick. Pick the spacers up at a home center. Open it up from 3/8.

I actually don't mind the seat rocking "problem"... sorta makes you feel the acceleration better... makes your seat "fly" back when you take off fast...

Yes it does, but try this. get into your car in work parking lot, put in reverse, push gas a little to hard......seat slides FORWARD mashing down gas pedal very very bad

It's a very easy fix....

You don't have to take the tracks off your seat or remove those little plastic *****.
First side took about an hour...second took 10 min.If you have any questions,I would be glad to answer.

Just pulled the driver seat out to fix mine. Thanks for the tip on not removing the frame from the seat. I only need to do one of the tracks. I was hoping for a short cut.

THE guide on how to fix it leaves a few very big issues out

first off to actually get the damntrack off the seat is not easy

the bolts are in a manner such that no tool fits on them
at least thats how it was on my 98

i can fix both seats for 250 if anyone wants me to
and youll never have to worry about it again

for some reason chevy used rubber where they should have used metal

if you want to try it yourself id be happy to explain it if anyone has any questions

id also be interested to know how you can fix it without taking out the white ***** cause they are an absolute pain in the sak to deal with

im in ohio
