My wife and I will be taking a long road trip in the vert this summer. The trip will be approximately two weeks long. I was wondering if anyone knows the best combination of luggage that will maximize the storage of clothes and still be able to cruise with the top down and the luggage in the car?
For Him, Shorts, tanktops, and sunscreen.
Bikini for her
PermaGrim for both.
Sorry guy I really don't know.
Wash and wear and quarters for the laundrymat.
My wife crams in everything but the KS.
We travel light in our top down Vert. Unless you’re planning to go some place formal a small airplane type carry on should handle all your clothes. I assume you’re staying at hotels/motels, all have coin washers We take the carry on, a small pail with car cleaning necessities and two fold up chairs no problem (the chairs can be CAREFULLY slid under the down top and take up hardly any room... NOTE always do this with the top down so you do not hurt the top glass, you know just how much SAFE room you have this way... You also have room for items like extra shoes in the little storage compartments. That large center compartment I will really miss when I get my C6 next month.
Small, soft bags are best. Also, remember that you'll probably pick up T-shirts along the way so you won't need to pack many of those.
I suggest that you do an archive search for "tire repair kit" and read the threads about what you might want to pick up for this long trip. The items I have fit very nicely in the two smaller storage compartments of the Vert.
May sound tacky, but plastic trash bags stuffed like duffel bag. Conforms to available space shape like nothing else. For overnights etc a small carry on which can be "fed" from the bag(s).
