I have (the noise) behind the driver seat, which i have read was caused by a bad fuel Pump, so i had it change at a shop that is very trust worthy. Corvette Connection in Colorado, it was recommended in my vette magazine.anyway I got my old pump back, and had a new high output LPE pump put in. Now for the trouble, my pump only whines when i drive for a long cruise, say 45 min to and 1 hr. I can drive it all day taking short trip with no noise. It only happens when it heats up. I took it back to the shop and they don't really have any idea, we can try this or that, anyway i paid 500.00 to have this problem fixed, but i have the sme noise problem!! anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help you might have.

After paying $500 to fix it, I'd be a little too if the same problem persisted. If the shop can't fix it, try giving LPE a call and discuss with them. They may be able to tell you if the whine is a trait of their pump.
What about a clogged fuel filter, that would make the pump work harder, maybe that why it only happen after driveing it for awhile. That might explain why it only whines when it gets hot. what do you guys think?
