Performance hood seal
Hi all,
I am getting ready to order the Performance Hood Seal from Mid America and have a question.
Are there any problems with the hood closing with this product?
Many thanks in advance,
Tom

No issues here and the SOYP feeling is sweet.
Does help keep the engine bay clean too.

Had one from MA on my '98. Thought the adhesive strenght was poor even after cleaning with alcohol. As for the '03 a friend and I went to Autozone and bought a seal (essentially identical) which in terms of length was enough for both our cars for less money and the adherence is not wishy-washy!

I must be cheap....I had one but it got ruined.....then I went to hardware store and bought a piece of foam weatherstripping (about 3/8 x 1/2 with sticky tape and it works better than the $15 one

Don't waste your money. Goto any local auto parts store and pick up some weatherstripping. I paid 6 dollars for mine and it works perfectly. Looks factory also.
