well look at the bright side...it's gonna rain all week while you work so hopefully by next WE it's nice out and the streets will be cleaned by all the rain for all those nice clean NJ vettes!
Since I purchased my Corvette 4-1/2 years ago, we have always had two other cars. I never HAD TO DRIVE my Corvette unless I wanted to. However, just yesterday we gave one of the other cars to our son who drove back to Virginia with it.
Today the Corvette has become my daily driver as we are not going to replace the third car. Until now, the only time it was in the rain was on the trip to the 50th Anniversary at the Museum two years ago. What a way to start the first week of being a daily driver - rain, rain and more rain.
I know that it won't melt in the rain, but it probably will never be as clean as it is right now, no matter how hard I work at cleaning it.
I guess I will have to suck it up. At least I will now have the chance to really enjoy driving the car without having to check the weather forecast in advance.
Being a fellow Jersey guy, I feel your pain. At least I'll be able to finish waxing her in the garage. When the weather breaks, she'll be clean and shiny!
I've lived in western New York for most of my life, as my father changed jobs twice when I was young, and we wound up here. I am, however, originally from NJ, so I feel for you.
On the other side of that coin, it's supposed to be rainy all this week here, too.
The only reason that I don't drive my C5 in the rain is because some strange phenomonon occurs... It becomes invisible! Even with ALL of the lights on, I've had way too many "soccer moms" in their SUVs change lanes on the expressway, and practically drive right across my hood while it's raining. I gave up, it stays home when it's raining!
This weather SUCKS!! I check the weather and at is depressing as he--. I put the ZO-6 lid cover, K&N Filter, and smooth coupler on and haven't even taken it out to try it yet. A week of showers .
In NH it's the same kind of depressing always gloomy and cold maybe it's time to pack up and get the hell out of here
I bailed on the East Coast 20 years ago; I never knew how lucky the West coasters had it until I visited relatives in January of 84. After that trip, I saved my money and drove my 68 out with a coworker who drove his truck and pulled the trailer.
Rain, snow, slush, ice, salt, sand, freezing temps all made me move from Boston to Atlanta almost a year ago. I get a full 12 months of almost always top down weather here as compared to seven months in Boston.
