*There were 174,609 C5 Corvettes produced between the years 2000 and 2004 when Millennium Yellow was an available color option. 14,468 of these Corvettes were Millennium Yellow.

*During the entire Corvette C5 model production 1997 through 2004, more cars were produced in 2002 than any other year totaling 35,767.

Anyone remember the Competition Yellow used on the 1990 C4's? Only 241 produced when GM realized the paint was photo-sensitive. Would change intensity like sunglasses in varying light conditions.

I thought it was really cool. In the fall a few leaves would land on the car. After sitting for awhile, a lighter silohette of the leave remained until the paint became equally exposed. Sorta like the virgin Mary visions in a moldy cheese sandwhich.

Mine changes shades depending on the light. In indirect lighting it has a darker yellow look, but in direct light it looks much brighter. The difference is very noticible.

I believe it will be called Velocity Yellow.

I am not 100% sure, but didn’t they change to a tinted clear coat in 02 for the yellow. That would be the reason why it looks different but is the same color?

Are there 2 shades of yellow?

Like "regular yellow" and premium color "Millenium Yellow" or are all 01-04 Vettes millenium yellow?
