It really amazes me that owners of 40k sports cars are so penny pinching that they have to go to home depot to by weather stripping. They don’t seem to quibble about spending 16$ for a bottle of wax but go out of their way to save $4 on a hood seal.
My advice, order one from a supplier like West Coast Corvettes, it fits right and when you close the hood it seals perfectly. Strangely enough when I purchased mine at their store they indicated most people install them incorrectly and showed me the correct way.

so,i bought some last night.now,just so i'm straight,this stripping lay's flat on the part w/the screws or whatever showing...and thus,when the hood closes,it'll form the seal??
