Default extended warranty

Let’s address the extended warranty issue differently.

1. What problems did you have after the first three years of vette ownership?
2. What year and model vette do you have?
3. What did you pay or what did GM pay the dealership to correct the problem?
4. If you could buy the extended warranty again, would you buy it?

Extended warranties do not cover:
Maintenance services and parts, physical damage, glass, lenses, sealed beams, light bulbs, and tires. Components not installed by the vehicle manufacturer. Bumpers, sheet metal, body panels and parts. Carpet, hinges, trim, upholstery, convertible or vinyl tops, moldings or bright metal. Air and water leaks, wind noise, odors, weather-strips, squeaks, rattles, paint, rust carburetor, contaminated fuel system, exhaust system, catalytic converter, brake drums & rotors, shock absorbers, and batteries.

By answering the questions this way no one knows who has the warranty and who does not. This should allow everyone thinking of the extended warranty to have complete information.

My 2000 w/41k (covered by a GMPP extended warranty) is going in the shop tomorrow for a bad rear end problem. Dealer is going to try to have the rearend exchanged. I'll also be given a "loaner car" while the repair work is done (probably a few days). This is the 2nd fix for the "leaky seal" on the drivers side. 1st repair was at 22K miles also covered under the extended waranty. My deductable is $50.00 I paid 1700.00 for coverage to 90,000 miles.

I have a 2000 coupe. After my original warranty expired, I had the seal between the tranny and the differential leak. Cost to repair was $650 - covered by extended warranty so I paid nothing. Would I buy it again, yes.

Default warranty

to me,the important part of the warranty is what it DOES cover.no warranty covers wear and tear, extended or otherwise.my 2001 coupe,20,000 miles is running great.i am going to my credit union tomorrow to see what they offer for warranties.my gmpp ran out in april.it's better to have it and not need it,then need it and not have it! on my 95,the tranny went 1 month before my 2/24k warranty(gmpp)ran out.cost of new tranny ,100 bucks!i expect to have to shell out some cash at some point of ownership for repairs, but a warranty,as long as it is with a reputable company,is well worth the initial cost.my girl's 01 blazer, bad wheel bearings=fix=800...my cost 50 bucks!

I have a 2000 coupe. My car has never been in for warranty work after the 3/36. The only issuses during the 3/36. were the battery and the colum lock. I don't buy the $2000 warranty, I never use that much money.
