C5 developed a deep squeaking sound coming from rear. Sounds like a rusty spring. This started shortly after hitting a large puddle of water at 60mph on the hyw this weekend. Also lost the left front approach bulb.
Anyway, the noise is driving me crazy. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this annoying squeak?

Had a buddy open the door stand on the doorsill he then jumped up and down and you could hear the squeak coming from underneath and back, so as he continued jumping I put my fingers on the rear
swaybar and felt a vibration coming through the bar every time it squeaked. I think its the bushings on the swaybar that need to be lubed but I'll have to jack up the car to be sure.

Just replace the bushings. If they're squeaking they're dried out and need to be.
I've had an AWEFUL squeak in the rear and finally located it as the lower shock bushings. Had the car on my lift and was able to pinpoint it after months of going crazy.
