Lots of folks have "cheese boxed" (drilled numerous round holes) i their lids. I'm sure one of them will chime in with pics.

holes
i had the holes in mine before i got the cowl induction hood.now i have a way bigger hole in it,and the big mouth air dam and my coolant temps drop by 2's in a hurry!i seem to always run around 190-194 ,except sitting in traffic.recovery time is excellent w/my set up.the holes i had in the box before all this was a good mod,though,too!
