And replacing that switch will fix the turn signals from not going on at all correct? Can I salvage my current button, or is it hard to take off the old switch without breaking it? Thanks again, great forum.
If the turn signals aren't going on at all, I'm not sure its the hazard switch. Another member can correct me if I'm wrong, but a faulty hazard causes the lights to flash quickly. I suspect you have something else going on if the turn signals don't come on at all.
In terms of install, there are two ways to do it. The first involves removing the entire dash and pulling the hazard switch. Alternatively there was a recent post about a member who had been successful in popping the hazzard switch push button off and then popping the switch and getting it our by removing the radio. The later is a clearner way to do it, but you're still going to have to remove the interior the front and rear counsel pieces and the radio and hvac bezel.
I would suggest getting some additional input from others about what might be causing your problem. I'm not that its the hazard switch.. good luck.

If you are getting no turn signals or dash lights, then the problem might lay in the headlamp switch. I had the same problem and a new switch fixed it. GM had a recall for this problem on Grand Ams and Jimmys, but there fault lied in the hazard switch. One was brake lights inop, and the other, turn signals not working
Here are the OEM part numbers for the 2 items
