A mutifunction switch is one, which when repeatedly pressed, toggles through different functions. Kinda like the DIC buttons on the right side of you dash (i.e. FUel, Trip, etc.).

Which one do you have to replace?

BTW, there are no dumb questions ... only dump people.

Ohhhhhh. No there is no multiswitch.

On the left side of your dash is the dimmer switch (the little round one). That's the one that controls the brightness of the lights you're having issues with. Turn that to the right (clockwise) and see if that solves your problem. Let us know if it works.

I tried that, I mean the interior lights work perfect, when i put that switch up all the way past the click, the interior lights go on, but still no dash lights while the headlight is on. (climate control doesnt illuminate, and the cluster doesnt illuminate)

Hmmm ...
Go to the fuse box in the passenger side footwell and start checking fuses. #19 is the Instrument Panel Control ... it may have something to do with illumination. Otherwise, get yourself a fuse tester and start checking the others. If you were close I'd loan you mine. They're only a couple of bucks at any autoparts store.

On most cars the multi-function switch is usually one of the stalk-mounted levers.

Relays are what click. I wonder if your relay's bad. More huntin' for electrical gremlins.

i have the same problem. My dash lights and fog lights do not work when I turn on my lights manually. If I use twilight sentenial then my dash lights work. I tried changing my flasher unit and checked my fuses but that did not work.
