Are you goin in a stright line or cornering? It should only happen when cornering too fast. The sensors then kick-in to try to save you from doing something even sillier than trying to take a corner too fast.

In a straight line it should not come on, except under loss of traction condition.

After you get to dealorship do a walk around with service manager. There have been a lot of damage stories lately.

WOW thanks guys i didnt think it was that serious . i work at a mechanic shop maybe i can hook up the scanner to it and get it fixed myself . .... if this can cause an accident i wonder why there isnt a recall on this ? it sounds to me like it can be a life threatning situation . my car is out of warranty so i wonder what kind of bill i would come out with if i do take it to the dealer

The same thing was wrong with my buddies 01 zo the left rear tire locked up at 55 pulled straight left in to a library sign 19,000 in damage and sold the car for 15,000 wrecked. BE VERY CAREFUL, he was lucky to not hurt someone or himself...

What size tires do you have on the car. There is a chance if you change the tires too far from the stock ratio it will cause this situation.

It's not a recall issue. It's not a design flaw, it's a broken part. (Probably) A recall would be a larger issue that affected MANY more cars.

If AH is coming on randomly it can also cause your rear brake to get eaten up VERY quickly.

Gawd, good luck. I have the same problem. I'm back to the dealer for the fourth time this morning and they have no clue. I'm so frustrated and concerned I've opened a complaint with NHTSA.

There is something similar happening with the full size trucks and SUVs but the cause is probably different. On the trucks they have a problem with rust screwing up the wheel speed sensors in areas where there is a lot of salt used on the roads. The symptoms are unusual application of ABS, Traction Control and Stabiltrack. The solution is to clean the sensors. The cleaning allows them to sense the serrated poles on the bearings and send a clean signal to the rest of the system. Supposedly GM is going to perform a recall on this problem.

The Corvette wheel speed sensors are part of the sealed wheel bearing so probably do not have rust problem. However, you may want to start looking in the general area and check the bearing for looseness and the wiring related to the wheel speed sensor. If the system gets an erroneous signal it will perform in unusual manners at unexpected times. It could also be the EBTCM module which could cost a lot of money.

After six tries, the dealer may have fixed it. So far so good with the results. they replaced a lot of different pieces, but the steering wheel position sensor may have done the trick.

That sounds like there could be a sensor problem.
