***About that "Disturbing Article" ***
Like many of you, I couldn't figure out why the Corvette was nowhere to be found on the list of "favorite" cars for men and women.
Looks like the firm that did the survey (NOP World) is some British outfit, and we know what British automotive types think about Corvettes.
Apparently, it was a global survey or at least one slanted toward Europeans.
Furthermore, the survey was most likely aimed at those individuals with large amounts of money. Hence, the preference of high-dollar automobiles and the total lack of mention of the Corvette.
Unless I'm really mistaken, the car most American guys have grown up lusting after has been the Corvette. I know things change and there are some really fast import cars now, but whenever a lot of kids see Red Racer, their eyes glaze and they shout, "Nice car!"
I'd like to see a survey of American males on what their "top ten" favorite cars are. I'd bet my next paycheck that the Corvette would be on that list.
