I just installed a set on my 00 Vert, and it transformed the car! Gone is the float and uncontrolled feeling on uneven pavement. The ride is about 10% firmer handling is about 20% flatter. It really quieted down the rear as well. I bought them from Shox.com for under $300. The best $300 I have ever spent
Awesome deal! I can't wait to replace my base suspension. Hotchkis Sway bar arrived today via the white truck, courtesy of Corvette Garage and Z06 springs/Bilstein Sports next week via the brown truck. It's mod time.

I installed some on my 98 a few weeks ago along with a Z06 alignment. It feels much better now, and while the ride is a little more firm, it's not uncomfortable at all.
My car had the base suspension, 6300 miles, I'm not sure of the option number of the base package. I Hotchkis bars on my A6, was planning getting a set for the c5 but the bilsteins flattened it out so well I think I will just add the ZO6 bars and solid endlinks. Picks comming soon of 18x9.5 and 18 x10.5 Afs polished ZO6 replicas.

What is a Z06 alignment? Do you have specs? When I got my C5 aligned they just set it to factory specs...what is the difference?

Z06 alignment is a little more agressive with a bit more negative camber and may include some toe differences (I don't have the sheet in front of me).
Stock C5 alignment is pretty much with everything at 0*, which straight driving on the freeway makes the car feel like it's on rails, but begins to fall short under cornering or track conditions.
Honestly though, while the Z06 alignment is a little more agressive and will get you some, unless you need one anyway I personally would not spend the $$ just for that. Also, if you're running run flats you don't want much if any neg camber. With non runflats it's ok.
I went from a neutral stock alignment to -1.5/-1 camber front and back with front toe out and rear in (all other things equal including the track) and the handling difference was rediculous. Drawback is I'll have to flip tires but that's easy enough.

The Z51 is the adjustable one, right? The one with the button that says sport, performance and ... damn, gotta go outside to see what the third setting is.
Anyway, the three setting one is the Z51, not the F45, right?
