Default Replacement Interior

I am trying to make myself a "real" member of the forums, by purchasing my first vette. I am being very picky in what I want, so I wanted some info if anyone knows what it would cost to create what I want.

I am looking for a black or navy blue coupe, with light oak interior, and a manual transmission. Unfortunatly, almost all of these dark cars with the oak interiors are automatics! How much would it cost to replace an entire interior? Are there any aftermarket vendors that offer replacement carpet? I couldn't find any previous posts about carpet replacement, only seats/mats/etc.

There are lots of Black/Black coupes out there, often with very reasonable prices. There's even a black/grey for sale in town, at a price that is more than reasonable! If I knew that I could replace the carpet for a good price (no problem doing the work myself) I would consider just doing that.

Replacement interior is not as hard as you might think. To replace all of the parts, including seatbelts, carpeting, all the trim pieces including the parts under the dash is relatively easy, most everything snaps out and a few things are screwed in.

Try contacting Gene's Karshop http://www.geneskarshop.com/ and tell him what you want. Too bad, though - a month ago my buddy had an entire Lt. Oak interior for sale, practically brand new.

If I were to guess price for a conversion like that I'd say about $2000, and if your black take out parts were in great shape, you could probably sell them for about almost the same amount, making it an even trade.

Another thought is that maybe you should put a post on the C5 Parts section http://forums.corvetteforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=53 as a "Want to Trade" post....good luck and welcome to the best forum on the 'Net!

Default Interior Pieces

For the best deal on interiors, call Brad at Brad's Corvettes (954)564-0808. I purchased all my interior from him and for a hell of a price.

If you need to paint some plastic pieces to Black, use SEM paint (Laundau Black) 1501 It matches perfect
