Default Is one CLB better than another?

I was just wondering if there were different manufacturers and if one is better than another. Also can anyone recommend where to get one? Thank

From what I've dug up about them, the one offered by Corvettes of Houston does the trick. I have a '98 that locked on me today, and I'm taking it to the dealer so they can do whatever voodoo they do. If you have a '99 or newer, get it now.

The CLB from Thunder Racing (supporting member) has the easiest to use Cig. lighter adapter. It has the proper connector on the other end pre-wired. No bare wires, color code guessing etc. Just "plug & play"

I bought my CLB six years ago from C5 Solutions. I don't think they make CLB anymore, but you can get a CLB from either Corvettes of Houston or Thunder Racing. They all perform the same function, and I don't think I've ever heard of any one brand that is better or worse than the other.

The adapter is to apply 12 volts one time to retract the locking pin. After that, the adapter is not required.

I bought the Harness K from GM. GM parts direct sells them for about $65 but I figured it's made by GM and the resistive loads should be correct.

I have a 2000 with auto trans. The GM recall has been done. Is there any reason to install a CLB? If so, what will it do for me that the recall didn't? Thanks.

I installed the Harness K kit on my 04 Z06, including replacing the lock plate, and have had no problems.

I had tried both the CoH CLB and the Thunderracing CLB. Neither would work correctly on my 98.
The fix: Get the Harness K.
