Default Intermittant stalling, Help

2004 a4 2000 miles, this is a second post to help clarify the problem. Has anyone experienced this: Battery seems fine, engine turns over and starts right up. the problem is that 10% of the time the engine shuts right down. when I crank it a second time, it starts right up and runs fine. Most of the time it happens after the car sits for an hour or less. Only once did it happen after sitting overnight. The battery is strong and the car starts every time. No codes are transmitted. The dealer advised not doing anything unless a code shows and I tend to agree for fear they could make it worse. A tech suggested to me that it could be related to the theft system. Any thoughts?

Lets see if I have it right. You start the car, it immediately dies. You start it again and it runs ok. That it? My 2004 has done that a couple times but not 10% of the time. I don't have a clue why it happens, so here is a bump for you. Might want to try in C5 Tech also. Bunch of smart folks over there.

My 98 has done that for a while now! I have not been able to figure it out yet. Mine seems to come in bunches..that is,it will quit doing it for a long time...and then a series of these type starts happen..

I hope to learn what it is....( mine has 35k on it)
