There's driving it hard ... and then there's DRIVING IT HARD.
Getting on it on a ramp or passing someone, I don't consider driving it hard.
0 to 60s from a standstill, burnouts, racing, top speed runs, and powershifting I consider driving it hard. I don't do that ... except in a couple weeks I may take my car to Corvette day at the drag strip.
Mine sees quite a bit of track time. Obviously, on those days it gets hammered on. On the off days, I have to make sure the limiter still works. You know, just to check...

I hardly ever get over 3,500 RPM, just enough to hear the Maggie.
Why would you by a race-inspired sports car and NOT have some fun iwth it? I dont rag on it or run it hard all the time, but Im not afraid to have fun with it.
I pretty sure GM spent the millions of dollars to make the Vette go fast and stop fast, so that we as owners could go fast and stop fast. I am also pretty sure they used paint that won't melt if it is rained upon.
I had a guy with a new c-6 on Tuesday telling me all about his 2003 c-5 he traded in for his c-6. He went on and on how the car only had 5k miles when he traded it, and how it had never been driven in the rain.
I smiled , not knowing what to say and walked away. The whole time I was walking away, I was just hoping who ever bought that car, drives the he11 out of it. Not driving a Vette hard, is like sending Linda Lovelace to nun school. It don't make no sense......... sure she will look cute in the robe and hat, but she isn't living up to her potential.
