Default How many times a week....

Do you wash your car? I've only had my C5 for about 2 months, but I'm finding myself washing my car 2-4 times a week. I absolutely hate dirt getting on it. If I drive through a puddle, or get sprinkled by a sprinkler, I wash it that night. "Is that a bug on my license plate cover? Damn, gotta wash the Vette tonight." I don't know if I'm insane, or obsessive (my wife might argue I'm a little of both), but want to get a feel for what you guys do.

We must have the same wife. You are perfectly normal, now go back and look at your inkblots and tell us what you see.

I have had mine for about 6 months and I wash it at least once every 2 weeks or whenever it needs it.

It all depends.

If it just has a layer of dust on it from parking outside all day, I just use my California duster and it's as clean as if I'd just washed it.

Driving in rain or going through puddles is another story. I'll wash it that same day/evening after getting home.

No matter what, I'll always clean the wheels, windows, carpet and put Insane Shine (Meguiar's) on the tires every time I put it in the garage after being out.

I really dislike driving a dirty Vette.

Mine gets wiped off at least twice a day. I am not much of a drinker but when I get home from work and the gym, the flying V gets wiped down every night. I call it my 5:00 martini.

If I drive it, once a week. Otherwise, maybe twice a month.

Washed it once when I got it. Dirt, dust, whatever.......never stands a chance with my daily routine. California Duster, then a good detailing spray wipe down. Clean as a whistle every single day!

With all the stuff thats made out there, I can go 2-3 months without a bath and its always show ready. Go to your local parts store and see all the great stuff. Mines wiped down after every trip out of the garage. And having a kwik lift sure helps. tc

Once every 6 months. I don't need to wash it more often. I Zaino it, then California dust it every few days. Then as needed, some Zaino Z6 gloss enhancer. Since I never drive it in the rain or on wet roads, it stays very clean. So the Z6 is used just to polish it up and take off any surface dust.
