Tire Iinflator
The GM tire inflator, pump only, lists at $393.00. Will any over the counter inflator provide enough PSI, around 250 PSI, to be strong & fast. I just need a no frills small 12 VDC pump. Any special brand & where to buy, you folks suggest.

The GM unit is junk and overpriced. You can get the same thing if you want, for less than $50. You might want to check out the Slime kit. They are coming out with an even smaller pump. http://www.slime.com/smartspairs/

Thanks for the info. Never heard of SLIME. For those other replies 
to my question.The higher the PSI capacity the less the unit has to work to do the job and the faster it is done without extra heat effecting the unit.

Yes they do ruin tire pressure sensors. But as a last resort I'd rather ruin a sensor than be stranded.
Those of us with sensors on Z06's use a vulcanizing tire plug kit, a small jack and also carry Slime or spare tire in a can. If I have time I would try to plug the tire. But if it were dark and raining, I'd use the Slime.
