curious,if you know why...
these 2001's have the issues with the blinker's,and the oil consumption(i know about the ring seating...not!)and whatever else i can't think of right now because i'm not quite awake!!!i love my ride,and the oil thing is not happening to me,although i had to add 2 or 3 times in the year i've had it,but i think maybe the dealer didn't put enough in ,,,the blinker thing is going on every few day's,though,and i'm not looking forward to having some knucklehead rip out my dash!!

The blinker issue is certainly not exclusive to the '01 model. 
Since you're already aware of the reasons for the ring issue that year...and the fix...I'm not sure what your complaint is really about

not really complaining,just seeking some more knowledge than i already have!like,how BIG of a job to fix that blinker thing?and is it covered under extended warranty's?and,i didn't know the blinker thing wasn't exclusive to 01's!See,i learned something already!!!

There are two methods to replacing the hazzard switch. The first involves pulling the entire dash, which although time consuming is not all that difficult.
Heres a link to the post Hurricane Z did concerning HUD install. It will step you through the process. The Hazzard switch is immediately behind the button on the dash.

Another forum member recently posted an alternative method to get the switch out. This is less involved and appears very easy to "pop" out.
