Car cover cleaning??
Has anyone cleaned, washed, or other-wise removed the sneaky dust that collects under the car cover. Or is my black Vette just a dust magnet? Thanks for any info about cleaning the cover, maybe that's why they call it a dust cover

Remember, you should try to keep your C5 dust-free by using a California Car Duster after short trips, assuming that your car is otherwise free of dirt from sitting uncovered for extended periods of time. Now, as far as waskhing your cover, I've done it a couple of ways:
1) Put it in a bathtub, fill with warm water and a small amount of laundry detergent (very little laundry detergent), and make like you're crushing grapes. Drain and fill with plain warm water and repeat crushing process. Drain and stomp until there's hardly any water left or until you're dog-tired. Take the cover out and lay it over lawn chairs and a table. Allow to dry.

2) Take the cover to a laundrymat that has the huge washing machines and dryers. Wash in warm or cold water with a small amount of detergent. Dry on the cool setting until the cover is slightly damp. Take it home and cover your clean car in the sun until the cover is completely dry.
Obviously, the laundrymay method is the easiest if you live cloe to one or if you have a dog that likes to get dog hairs over everything in the back yard.
