Default Just bought First Vette

I just recently, like last week, bought a 2002 Electron blue Vert. I love it, I have been looking at this site for a couple of days. I was wondering what after market things were the best bang for the buck.

I was looking at the following items and just wanted to get some feedback. Feel free to add on. Right now my budget is a couple of hundred dollars (I put alot of money in the down payment). So with that said here is what I am looking at now.

1)Acrylic lettering (Rear)
2)c5 Exhaust Enhancement Plate
3)Sound Proof the car. I saw a link on here about doing it yourself with some Frost King insulation.

Later:
I also want to add the AVIC-D1 and maybe a new exhaust to get some horsepower.

Does anyone have any AVIC-D1 installations that are complete?

Thanks for the feedback.

Welcome...
As for mods, you are at the right place for suggestions.
Consider upgrades to the suspension with Z06 sway bars, new shocks, and/or springs.
Cold air intakes are useful.
Appearance mods...alot to select from.
Have fun.

Hehehehehe....another victim!

Welcome to the forum. These guys and gals are responsible for me spending a lot of money on my car. And I've only had it a year

All kidding aside, I have not bought one item without getting feedback from here first. This place rules! I would suggest putting all your credit cards in a safety deposit box and swallowing the key.

As for exhaust systems.......I vote for Corsa Indys

Welcome to the .................

Congrats and welcome from a newbie corvette owner I have only had my 99 FRC for a month now and cant get enough of it,its all fun.First thing I would do is some sort of cold air intake mod and cat back exhaust.I just have the cut out opening in front of the air cleaner housing and a Corsa Indy exhaust with pro tips for now.Air intake and exhaust I think are the most common first mods.I think I might get some Z06 screens and some clear front lens next for looks department and ofcourse lower it down on the stock bolts .

Congrats and welcome to the forum.

A new exhaust will reap you much better exhaust tone than stock, but
very little additional HP. Bolt ons like a new air instake and headers with give. Hang around here a while, you figure it out!

you a nice kick in the paints!
