It's not just Corvettes..
This morning my '04 Silverado Would'nt start 
Granted, it sits quite a bit as my wife & I drive the same car to work but..it's been less than 2 weeks since I drove it & it was stone dead. I called the dealer this morning for the Corvette as the battery no longer holds a charge..Time for a new one. Now i'm worried when the pull the old one out the radio will lock & codes will flash all over the dic. It's just

Don't just get a new one, get a Red Top. They'll never leak. Most important: They look way cool. 
Changing batts. doesn't usually cause problems. You will have to reprog. your radio stations though.Reddy Kilowatt says "a Red Top under the hood makes your wiring feel good!!!! "

I agree - get a red top. Nothing special about changing the battery - just be sure you have the theft lock code for the radio handy if needed.
