I'm thinking of a couple good size SS or chrome screws with rubber washers to hold the air bridge down better. Anyone have any idea how much space there is between the radiator cover and the actual radiator? All I really need for it to grab is probably 1/4" or so.
That's the plenum cover I'm getting. Should be here today. It looks great on your engine! I didn't realize it extended that far towards the TB. Very cool looking!!
Got the BBK in today. Kind of a pain in the butt. The rubber grommets didn't want to hold it down too good and still aren't right. The tube to the throttle body needs to be about an inch longer. Getting it lined up w/ the grommets and still clamp it on there was a major hassle. I'll work with it, but I wish the designers of these kinds of things would make things a little easier. Another inch on that tube would have made the install 100% easier. Still waiting on the plenum and the washer & coolant covers in aluminized carbon fiber from TKO.
I have the BBK, brushed aluminum. Had no problems installing it because I have the stock radiator cover. I like your combination under your hood. Sort of what I want to dress mine's out with.
Where did you get the fuel runner covers; or did you just paint them?
Below is a picture of my setup.
Your engine bay does look good. If you want it to look just a little better turn the screw mechanism on the clamps down more towards the bottom and then tighten. Just looks a little cleaner.
Is it nesecary to instal the mass airflow sensor when replacing the intake? Is this something that NEEDS to be done or not? Will it make any difference?

I agree. I'm going to replace the too short blue tube at the throttle body anyway. I'll work on geting it cleaner looking. When I did it, it was so damn hot, I was sweating all over everything. I wasn't in the mood to get it perfect at the moment. I'm going back at it this weekend. Supposed to be less humid. I swear, I lost ten pounds yesterday!

It looks very nice anyway. That is just a little trick my cousin who has a show car clued me in on.

I'm no mechanic and just followed the instructions. The OEM MAF goes into the filter and then you re-hook the wire harness to it.
So I take it there is no need to buy the $300 after market mass air flow sensor? I didnt know if it would add more horsepower.
I saw them when I was looking for another intake tube. No you don't "need" to get a new one. The old is incorporated into the new intake. Horsepower??...I don't know, but for $300 bucks, nothing noticeable would be my guess.
The SS radiator cover I have didn't help the grommet issue because it sits up a bit higher. (QUOTE)
