Default Alignment Question

Hey everyone...as most of you already know i got my car lowered on the stock bolts...i got the alignment done when i got the wheels put on about 3 months ago....the car is lowered all the way to the bushings in the front and 2 threads remaining in the rear....seems to be driving perfectly straight...should i still get the alignment done??? is there anyway of checking if it is off instead of wasting another 100 and something dollars on alignment???

It would be a great idea to have the alignment checked. Any time you lower a car, it will require an adjustment. It will take you a little time to find out the tires are wearing unevenly and by then it's too late! We lowered my car and installed 04 Z06 shocks and the alignment was way off! Pay now or pay later Hope this helps!

Must be realigned. The threads Ive read say to go with ZO6 numbers.

Alignment is strongly recommended by the GM Service Manual after any change in ride height.

Check your ride height first.

measer from the frame to the ground just behind the front jacking puck points. Then measer the from the frame to the ground behind the rear jacking puck points. The rear should be 4 to 5 mm higher. This is the rake needed for proper aerodynamcis and stability.

Then get your alignement done.

Had mine lowered all the way on stock bolts three weeks ago. Had the Alignment done this last weekend.

The car seemed to be driving fine before the alignment, but I think there is subtle play in there that can really screw up the wear on your tread if you ignore it long enough. And them tires are expensive!

My 4 wheel alignment cost me about $130.00 at a dealer.

I might be imagining it, but it feels like the steering and performance are a little better after getting the alignment done. Doesnt "HOP" as much on rough pavement during turning.

Looks great lowered, eh?

Cheers!~~~JadeDragon

My alignment shop recommended regular C5 specs unless I was going to track the car on a regular basis. The Z06 specs will cause you to go thru tires more quickly. At least that what they said!
