Well, I am forced to replace my hood. 2 cows darting in front of me from a downed fence saw to it. I am considering an aftermarket. Hi-rise, cowl, or something similiar. Nothing too wild. Have been looking at different companies, but once again am relying on the corvette community to steer (no pun intended) me in the right direction.

Get a Motor City Mold (MCM) Hood
I just installed their “Carbon Fiber Heater Extractor Hood” on my 1999 C5 and it's great. I drove up to one of the largest Corvette shows here in Europe (Corvette FAME 2005) in Valkenburg, Netherlands this past weekend (4 July 05) and my Vette took "Best of Show". I don't know if the hood was the deciding factor, but it sure looked good setting there next to all those sock hooded Vettes.

MCM is awesome!! Saw my first one in person yesterday (while driving) -- nice black vert -- while I was in my wife's MDX. We stopped at a stoplight, and because I was up high, I had a GREAT view of it -- I had to roll down my window and tell the guy how AWESOME it looked!! I WANT ONE!!!
Actually calves. Yes, I was only doing maybe 15 mph when they darted in front of me. The hood damage was done by the headlights being pulled out and across the hood. Very minor damage considering. Good thing it was at such a low (and very rare) speed. Coulda been a lot worse.
Nope, well one almost did until I got out of my car and saw the damage
Kidding!!!!
After talking with the property owner evidently they came out all right. Don't see how because I clearly saw one go over the car. Well it was sliding across it, not airborn. Anyway, will be ordering the MCM carbon fiber hood tomorrow.
Take a look at the pics in My Corvette Photos if you want to see a MCM hood on a white vette. I have a Speedway White vert, and it looks like yours is Artic White. but it should give you a pretty good idea of how the hood would look on yours.
