c5 cabin air filter?

I believe I've seen aftermarket filters for sale. They're a piece of thin foam rubber that lays along the tray in front of the wipers. I doubt it filters out all but the large particles (bugs etc).

I'm surprised by the poor information on this thread. The C5 does have a cabin filter, but it's hard to find because it's in the back. Look in the small area right next to the spare tire and you'll find it.

My 2002 Tahoe has a cabin filter - I think Tahoes/Subs still have them.
I'm surprised by the poor information on this thread. The C5 does have a cabin filter, but it's hard to find because it's in the back. Look in the small area right next to the spare tire and you'll find it.

The C5 DOES NOT have a cabin filter! PERIOD!
It should BUT,,, it doesn't!
The filter that lays across that cowl will NOT filter out all the dust and dirt as some of the windshield trough area is open on the sides and will allow air to bypass that filter.
The small opening under that metal plate near the passengers side of the cowl is where the HVAC System gets its OUTSIDE air. Its also where the MICE get in!

The C6 Has a nice filter with a couple of filter options. You can install a plain paper filter or opt for a premium carbon & paper filter which is a really nice filter.
