I need help! =[
I washed my car yesterday and and to drain the water out of the drive side mirror I pushed it in and left it pushed in for awhile. I went back out to the car later and the mirror is so loose that it won't lock in to place and just swivles back and forth. How do I tighten this back up?

From other posts I have seen you will either need to take it apart to fix a broken mechanism inside, or find a replacement one that isn't broken. And if I am correct, to repair it you have to remove it from the door. You may try searching the C5 sections to find more posts on this problem.

Pushing the mirror in did not cause the problem...
Pushing the mirror in did not cause the problem....on my 97 the mirror just popped out while parked in my garage....It is just a defective part on all 97's and some early 98's...Look at the post above....Ed from Ohio did a great job at fixing mine....And it was a fast turn around.
