Wow. I wasn't expecting news like this when I opened this thread. Sorry to hear the news.
Kinda makes the importance of cleaning our "beloved" cars less important.
I have owned dogs all my life and losing one never gets any easier. I was reading on a pet website that we tend to grieve harder for a pet then we do for humans. True for me. After a short time get a pup and you'll feel better. It won't make you forget your loss but it will definitely round off the edges. Hang in there and know that we all feel your pain.
Yesterday, I was just about to go out to do a extensive detailing of my 2004 CE. Before starting I notice my 10yr old golden retriever Kessie did not look well. My wife and I rushed her to the emergency vet only to lose her 6 hours later to a fast and aggressive cancer that had gone undetected until then. She was a great dog and will be missed deaply.
I'm sorry for your loss. I just lost my 7 yr old border collie last week to the same thing.
Our condolences to you. We have three chihuahuas that are like our children and have lost others before them. The joy they bring is far greater than the sorrow we suffer when we lose them.
God bless.
we have 4 Chihuahaus and a mutt pitt.Replace the dog and you will feel better. Good luck...
Always sorry to hear these passing. My yellow lab, Auggie age 9, is lying on the floor with her head on my feet as I write this. It is amazing how much in Love we can get with our pets. They give so much love and comfort. I know some will disagree, but losing a pet like this is as equal to me as losing a family member because my dog is a family member to my wife and me.
Know that time heals all too some extent and certainly getting another dog at some point will help. Also know that I and many others feel your pain and you have our sympathy and understanding.
