Does anyone know, of a good wax that take out light scratches? I hate how you those light scratches, by a spong or towel, then you can't wax them out.
wax will not take them out - some may hide them, but only slightly. the only effective way to remove them is to get a porter-cable random orbital polisher, some fine cut cleaner (e.g. mequirers #83) - follow this with a swirl remover, a glaze (machine) and finally, a quality wax. i prefer synthetic, layered with several coats of carnuba wax. an alternative method is to go the zaino process (this is a #1-top shelf product) after the swirl remover step. i know this sounds like a lot of work (and it is), but the results will blow you out of the water! BTW, quit using the sponge and towels - one word, MICROFIBER-MICROFIBER-MICROFIBER. go to this site www.autopia.org they have a great e-book you can download on detailing. read the chapter on "the perfect shine".
Thanks Joe C. I do use microfiber to wax off the car, but didn't know they made them to dry the car. I use the absorber, to dry the car. Well thanks for the information.
I just learned to ignore them... and the chips. I coat of NXT and I'm happy. I'm tired of spending all day detailing the car only to have the first rain ruin her again.

I drive my 04 Z06 to work everyday to a chemical plant. After a while you learn not to sweat the small imperfections and just enjoy driving the car. It is harder to go to work and leave it setting in the garage than to spend a little extra time keeping it clean.
Its actually the polish that will blend them not wax. But it's just like Joe says. Only its even harder work the it sounds. On black they are pretty hard to ignore.
Sports cars are nice weather weekend drivers only! Keep them up like new and the end result is More $$ in your pocket. I ffel if you can afford a fairly exp. sports car you can afford a daily driver.
For rock chips on the bumper/mirrors, you should really look into getting a clear bra. I'm getting mine installed soon and I know of a few people that have them on their cars and they work great. Here's a link for the clear bra on the Z06's.
If anyone is interested, I can probably help get them cheaper. My friend sells them.
