Default Spell Check

I tried to find a suggestion box for this great forum, but I couldn't find one. So, I am going to make one suggestion here. Can who ever runs this forum give us spell check capabilities when posting? I am not a great speller and I rely heavily on spell check to correct my public education short comings. Other forums have that capability so it may not be a big deal. Thanks in advance.

Try the help section for suggestions.
Or uses Websters on-line

IB4TM or IB4TL

That is what I have been doing all along, it is just an added hassle. It would just be nice if there was a tab right next to the "Submit Reply" tab called "Spell Check". Just a suggestion.

IIRC, one of the first software versions of CF had a spellchecker but it probably didn't come with the later versions. Just copy it to a new post in OT and they will help with any corrections necessary

The trouble with spell check is that it won't detect the wrong word. Most illiterates fail to realize that what they term a "misspelling" is a different word. Example; there, their, they're. Other examples abound.

Yours in despair,
OO

You could try to send a Private Message to the Moderators... It's not a bad idea at all

The Help Forum is the place to go for all your "how to", general site questions, and feedback. Also, the Forums Index lists all the forums here and shows the topics that are appropriate for discussion and posting in each.

Hope this helps.

Until the conversation gets ugly. Then, they'll jump all over grammar and spelling.
