I loved my Borla Quad Stingers on my '97 C5, but they had to go because of the noticeable drone inside the cabin between 1300/1800 RPM with the A4. So I replaced them with ZO6 Ti and added an X-pipe with high flow cats. What a difference..really can tell the response is there at all speeds.
To me this is a very good combination. It has a very nice healthy low rumble at idle/cruising and a very competitive sound at WOT. I have the BBK cold air induction with a K&N air filter which gives the LS1 more cool air intake. Was thinking of headers, but I think I'll pass on them and just get the power tune next.
Thanks to all of you out there that recommended the ZO6 Ti and other input on the X-pipe and hi-flow cats.
This LINK tells you all about the ZO6 Ti system. http://www.corvettemuseum.com/specs/2001/exhaust.htm
Save the wave..

Where are all these TI exhausts being bought and for how much?
Watch the C5 Parts for Sale/Wanted section of the Forum or eBay, although you're likely to pay more for those on eBay. Prices lately seem to be around $400 - $500 or more for take offs depending on age/mileage. They're starting to go up some in price as new car take offs are becoming more scarce. Also, they aren't always cheap to ship, so it may help if you can find some for sale within driving distance of where you live. Good luck.

Reason: spelling/typing
The "wave" is the wave that Corvette owners exchange when passing other Corvette owners on the roads. Every driver of a Corvette, be it a C1, C2....C6, shares a common bond with other Corvette drivers. As such, most Corvette drivers wave as the pass by other Corvette drivers.
I always wave....and my girlfriend always laughs at me for doing so!!

There is a set up for sale now. Go to the C5 Parts and check them out. They have 10K on them and the person wants $450. FIRM...
Good choice. I just had my Corsa Indy's replaced with the TI and love it. After the header and high flow cat install the Indy's were just a bit too loud when getting on it and at WOT.
The TI's still have a nice rumble at idle but are more controled when getting on it.

Very true...at this time I don't plan to install headers, just get a Hypertune or one of the others. I know there are other things to be done to let the horses out, but I'm very pleased with the way she runs with what I have now. Have a great weekend.
