Default Question about california duster

I was wondering how well the california duster works and if it would scratch the paint. My vette is black

I have had 2 dusters for quite a while, works great. The grungier it looks the better it works.

Yep, the dirtier the better. Make sure when you first get one to wrap it in newspaper for a day or so.

Mine works great and no scratches. In the Vegas "sand storms" that's a recommendation

Just remember don't scrub with it just use it lightly. I dont apply any pressure at all and just use the yarns that hang down to wipe with. They work great.

They work great, the newspaper trick helps soak some of the parrafin oil out.

I use the duster on my BLACK FRC. I would be lost without it. Don't use it if your car has mud, bird dung, etc. It works well for road dust, pollen etc. I've found it works best when I use it in long strokes in one direction, don't make circles or swirl it or you will get wax smears. Also, shake it often to fluff it up, and knock out loose dust.
See for yourself, my pics..........

Works great on my black vette. I have a smaller one for dusting inside the car too. Like someone else said, do not apply any pressure. Let the duster do the work.

Just make sure it's the original Cali Duster with the red. I've tried other brands, they leave lost of lint behind . I also have a black vette, I use the duster about 3-4 times a day and no scatches.

They're awesome! I use mine each time before I take the car anywhere. Only needs a wash about once a month vs. once a week.

The flying-V gets wiped off at least twice a day. This is what I use.
It works great.
