C5 Wheel Value
My son has wrecked his 99. We can take wheels off before it goes to the junkyard. 3 of the painted thin spokes are still good (2 rear, 1 front). We have a perfect set of "wagon wheels". Which is worth more money (3 thins or 4 wagons)?

When making the decision, you should consider which wheels have pressure sensors on them. The pressure sensors may be worth as much as the wheels. A set of sensors, for the years 1997-2000, recently sold on ebay for $272. The three thin spoke wheels are probably worth a little more than the set of wagon wheels. I would probably deliver it to the insurance company with the set of wheels with no pressure sensors, unless both have sensors. In that case I might remove the sensors on both and turn it in with just conventional rubber valve stems.
