Ecklers...

It's amazing that businesses operate like this, they don't care if they lose a customer who will spend 1000's for a hundred bucks.

They're cutting your own throats over there at Eckler's
Yep - I'm one of 'em. They sent me the wrong part. After they couldn't get it right a month later I told them to cancel my order and that I'd done my last transaction with them.
I've bought items from all the major vendors, Eckler's, WCC, Midamerica..etc..before and after joining the forum and I've never expierence a bad transaction. Most of the time they were helpful and eager to do business with me.
However, that does not mean no one else has expierenced a negative transaction. I really feel bad for all of those who have lost money and time because of bad transactions.Personally I believe that with a little shopping around and communication, most of these recurring problem posts can be avoided. For example, just like the rest of the world, I shop around for the best price per product. I call the vendor directly and speak to a human being. If the details sound right, being that the price/availability are correct, then and only then I unload my cash on them.
Am I going to cut Eclker's off because a few people here have had bad dealing?? No not really. Eckler's has gone above and beyond for me a few times in the past and I'm not going to forget that. I remember about 3 years ago I purchased this item:
but the two screw covers were not with the item. I gave Eckler's a call and the young lady took my word for it and said that she would take care of it. I assumed they would send the covers in the mail. A couple of days later these little guys showed up:
. I checked the catalog and I found that it was a $12-$13 item not including shipping. $12 is nickles and dimes for a company like Eckler's, however, it was a very nice jesture. I realize that they should have gotten it right the first time, but everyone is entitled to at least one mistake.
. I wish all of you the best of luck on your "Quest for the Mods".
