Default Ecklers...

What a joke their return policy is. I call them, let them know what parts they sent me that are wrong, send them in with explanation including the part numbers and price, and after a month and a half, I get credit for a different set of parts, conveniently shorting me $120. Now that should only take another month and a half for them to figure out. Not sure why they don't use an RMA policy like everybody else in the world.

Yep, I'll never order from Eckler's again, returned part of an order, stuff was poor quality, didn't fit, waiting for my credit card to be credited still, sent it back on June 23, received by them on June 24, logged into their system on June 28, still nothing, called last week was told it takes 5-7 business days to process, it's now been 10 days. I'll give them a call on Friday if they haven't processed the order.

It's amazing that businesses operate like this, they don't care if they lose a customer who will spend 1000's for a hundred bucks.

This is just one more bad experience in a long line of Eckler's problems aired here in the past few months. If anyone on here continues ordering from them, please give us a pass on having to hear about the problems you have encountered. They are not only overpriced, but apparently too large to give a darn about their paying customers.

Haven't bought from Ecklers in a while. Sorry to hear their service appears to be going bad. Hope you can get it all resolved quickly.

UT oh,
I got an order inbound at this momment $800.+ worth of stuff...sure hope they get it RIGHT, don't need this sort of BS in my life..I dealth with Mid-America, Fitchner (sic) Chevorlet and no problem I like to sprad my purchase around. Sales help at different vendors. I know one thing I don't like is that they don't send you an e-mail reply with with comfimation or a tracking number from who ever handles their shipping so you can trace the order. You get a snail mail saying your order has been filled and shipped.

Ok, That's it!!! I'm done with them. I've only made a couple of purchases with them and had no problems. But I'm not going to keep throwing the dice until I do. That Credit rather than Refund Policy is the biggest bunch of I've ever heard of. Had I known that was their style, I never would have made any purchase. Then they charge for shipping when it's their mistake? Really??? That's the absolute worse business practice that I've EVER heard of! Mid-America offers better prices anyway.
They're cutting your own throats over there at Eckler's

Yep - I'm one of 'em. They sent me the wrong part. After they couldn't get it right a month later I told them to cancel my order and that I'd done my last transaction with them.

It's a darn shame, quality control and customer service in the US are at a all time low. I really hate to see our businesses go down the drain for small oversights. I've bought items from all the major vendors, Eckler's, WCC, Midamerica..etc..before and after joining the forum and I've never expierence a bad transaction. Most of the time they were helpful and eager to do business with me. However, that does not mean no one else has expierenced a negative transaction. I really feel bad for all of those who have lost money and time because of bad transactions.

Personally I believe that with a little shopping around and communication, most of these recurring problem posts can be avoided. For example, just like the rest of the world, I shop around for the best price per product. I call the vendor directly and speak to a human being. If the details sound right, being that the price/availability are correct, then and only then I unload my cash on them.

Am I going to cut Eclker's off because a few people here have had bad dealing?? No not really. Eckler's has gone above and beyond for me a few times in the past and I'm not going to forget that. I remember about 3 years ago I purchased this item:
but the two screw covers were not with the item. I gave Eckler's a call and the young lady took my word for it and said that she would take care of it. I assumed they would send the covers in the mail. A couple of days later these little guys showed up:
. I checked the catalog and I found that it was a $12-$13 item not including shipping. $12 is nickles and dimes for a company like Eckler's, however, it was a very nice jesture. I realize that they should have gotten it right the first time, but everyone is entitled to at least one mistake. .

I wish all of you the best of luck on your "Quest for the Mods".

I agree that MID-AMERICA is far better of a place to deal with, but I have never had any problems with ECKLERs, but I am weary dealing with afer seeeing the post. Sorry things went South for you.
