Had one on my 93 coupe, and it really did work great except for the hatch being noisy going over bumps. Maybe thats why they recommend 2 for the C5

Helps reduce cabin air turbulence with the coupe's top off.
Streamlines airflow out of the cabin.

I have those vents. Only use them if your top is off. May introduce exhaust fumes into the interior if you use them with the top on. I also remove my rear shade to cut down on the flapping. Cuts down the turbulance a little with the vents.
Installed mine today for the run to Sears Point/Infineon Raceway for the ALMS race Sunday. I'll put the top back on when I get there but I'll keep the vents on to give the car some ventilation while parked. Its supposed to be in the high 90's for the race. Can't imagine driving a hot racecar with helmet and nomex on.

I had one for my 94 cpe, worked well for air flow and when you had the car parked and closed up. The way it locks in, alarm still works when it's installed. C5 needs 2 because of the latch on each side of the deck lid.

I love mine on my coupe. I have autocrossed and drag raced with them on. Besides air flow, it gives it a "spoiler" look (or that "your trunk is open" look
) .

You would not keep them in all the time, cruzin with the top off, or parked to let some air in !!!!!!!!
