Just amazing, Jeff. No Offense intended. Just catching me at that time of day.
But this is not at all a Corvette Tax issue. Go ahead and come up and an original idea, design it, fabricate your parts, put hundreds or thousands of man hours into designing and redesigning, submitting, testing, and once you have a solid product you will put your name on and trust your children's lives with, THEN start trying to sell it to the world.
Just because a final design appears simple, that does not always mean it is cheap.
haha, you now have 10 minute to shop your Home Depot for these parts and report back with a solid and tested product.
You are entitled to your opinion but I don't find it fair that you hurt a man's business when you obviously do not own the product and have no experience with it or its seller. Do a search on the forum and you will find how popular an item this is AND what a savings the Corvette Gadget Man is over the supply catalogs such as Ecklers and Mid America.
Bold statements such as "Corvette enthusiast or not, Thats a complete rip off.." should be backed up with some hard evidence.
respectfully,
Rain

No offense taken, as you said, we are all entitled to our own opinion.
I agree with you 100% about designing and developing a marketable product. BUT......you know as well as I do that this would NOT cost 42 bucks if it were on any other vehicle. I have spent 10's of thousands of dollars on my C5 and frankly ther are only 3 items that I have found that are not intentionally trying to rip someones head of on the price.
1) Elite Engineerings C5 jacking Pucks 2) Elite Engineerings tunnell plate. 3) A&A's P1SC Supercharger system.
I guess the old saying goes there an A$$ for every seat. God Bless the man if he is able to make 40.00 in profit on a 42.00 part.
I hardly doubt theres 1,000's of man hours in this design though. I mean, Home Depots' only open 12hrs a day..
What I am saying is "Come On" give us a break. If they work GREAT I'll get me a set (At Home Depot) But dont try and pay for a trip to Tahiti on one set...
-Jeff-
BTW, I hope your days going better...

Do things such as tissues, bills, paper, etc. fly out through the
back if one of the items happen to be free????????
Don't know, have not had mine that long, hope so, need to clean out the vette

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

The C5 doesnt seem to have this problem so I dont know why anyone would purchase the aftermarket pieces that lets you latch your hatch and leave the 1" opening...

It leaves the hatch up abut 2-3"'s Is that it?
Is hat's what it is supposed to do?

Yup, lets the air flow out the back, very easy to put on or take off.
