I start my car today for the first time in about a month or so, and I notice the AC isn't really cooling the car down. Then I notice the air is coming out just a little out of the bottom, middle, and top vents all at once, but it is cold. When I toggle b/w every setting, the air never moves, so I assume the damper that tells it to blow out of the vents or defrost, etc, is broke. Has anyone had this problem before, and is it something I can fix myself to avoid taking it to the dealer?
Thanks!

Have you ever had a battery leak in this car? If acid gets on the small black vacuum hoses underneath the battery and is not removed soon enough, it may have damaged them. Several members have complained in the past that the damaged vacuum line(s) caused the damper door to be inop and created the same type of condition you have.
Remove the access panel on the rear of the right-front wheel well housing and check them. They can be replaced by splicing with new vacuum line if necessary.
Have you had the intake manifold off for any reason? Swap for a Z06 unit or to repair something? If so, the small black nylon vacuum line that attaches at the rear of the manifold may be off/disconnected, and therefore you will not have a vacuum source to operate the damper system. HTH
The car is bone stock from it's original air filter all the way to the exhaust tips...except for the battery. So stock manifold is on there and has never been moved.
And funny you should mention battery leak...
As a proactive person, I removed the factory battery in anticipation of it leaking, and bought one from walmart. The new f'ing battery started leaking, and I didn't catch it right away. I took it out, and clean it out real well with water, and all the wiring looked fine (nothing was eat up). Apparently I need to look at the vacuum lines though. I REALLY hope this is it, b/c it sounds like a simple fix.
This happened a few months ago, and I know the HVAC was working properly after that. Maybe the vacuum lines deteriorated more after then...???
FYI, I have one of those yellow top gel batteries now.

SOB, I have owned the car for two years, and I go to jack it up to take off the wheel and realize the previous owner never gave me the lug nut key!!!
UGH!
So I'm emailing the previous owner (the CEO of a company I left to go to a competitor's company, just to add to the drama) and simultaneously sending off $10 to AMCOR with my key code.

Unless you've got custom wheels, the Chevy dealer can get the locking nuts off and sell you a new set w/ a new locking nut for about $25.

Have you already checked in the regular rear compartment location for it? Pop out your center compartment cover and look along the left hand (driver's side) edge of the well. There is a small "pocket" in the carpet a few inches behind the latch where they are normally stored. HTH.

LOL...I'll look when I get home, but if I find it, I may be even more frustrated! Thanks though, I will look. I didn't even know there was a subcompartment there!
