C5 Emblem Differences?

C5 Emblem Differences?
I want to replace the black front, rear, and waterfall emblems on my Mag Red Vert with something lighter colored. The probem is that I hear everyone saying that the paint chips on the 2003 emblem and the chrome ones from Ecklers end up fading and loosing the flag stickers.
Are the 2004 Commemerative Edition emblems the same as the 2003 emblems? Is there anyone who makes a decent chrome emblem? Should I attempt to paint mine?

The 04 CE emblems and the 03 emblems are quite different actually. Mid America and Ecklers both sell chrome metal emblems.

Actually the don't chip. The paint does however rub off on the 2003 emblems, especially around the sharp edges. That is why I replaced mine with black ones and kept the 50th inserts in them. Plus I prefer the brighter red on the regular emblems.
I believe the 2004 CE and 2003 emblems are the same except for the inserts.
