Default What a Long day

It started yesturday at 8am. Doing my usual search through cars.com. There it was and it was only 100 miles away. Couldn't waite till 9 am when I could call about it. A 2001 Z06. Finally got ahold of the sales rep and it was still there.

I hoppied in my 81' and drove there in record time with check in hand. Looked her over (not bad for the miles 67k). Borla exhaust, very nice stereo.

They looked over my 81', and then it happened they pissed me off. offering no more than what I could get just for the teetops alone. I said screw it and left. Then I calmed down and gave them a call, Went for a drive and returned to the dealer check in hand, did not care about the trade(would come back for my 81' later.)

Bought her I'm happy seeings that I have not seen a z06 for under 29,000. paid 24,995.
I drover her home and picked up a buddie( after showin her off a bit )
We drove 2 hours back to get my 81'. It is now 5am and I'm just now getting home. Still pumped about the z.. It's friggin awsome

Here is 1 pic I will have more

Sweet..Good to hear that your happy with your new Z06. Hope it turns out to be a good car with no problems. Has some miles but remember it is a 2001. If it's been kept up though you shouldn't have any trouble. Can't really talk crap about car dealers because my dad owns his own lott. But being around the business i know that some dealers are real A$$'s. Don't know what i would have done but it's wouldn't have been pretty. That man would have had a bad day. But hey, you got what you wonted so. Give us what we want.....PICS

Congrats Once you get the bug, it's hard to resist. I guess their offer for your '81 wasn't so bad afterall. Besides you got a great lookin Z in the process.

Congrads...its a great Vette and a good price...I feel your pain...when I first bought my '95 they offered me $2000 trade in for my 1977...I almost crapped....still have the '77 in my driveway...drive it occasionally...may try to sell it ...I don't think anyone wants an all original 1977(all matching numbers)...I may just have to let it sit until it turns to dust

Congrats on the Z. Hope it gives you many trouble free miles. Plus, you got to keep the '81.
