Can anyone confirm that there were never any ZO6s that came off the line in a coupe style? There is a yellow coupe in CT that claims his vette was an off the assembly line ZO6. I didnt look at the engine very closely, but the only thing it is really missing from the ZO6 appearance are the ZO6 seat badges. I am guessing this is complete , but I wanted to make sure. thanks
If he has the Z06 gauges, the rear brake ducts, the front screens, the fender badges, and if it is an 02 or newer they had the Titanium exhaust. So if the car has all of that along with the Z06 sticthed seats, then it is a Z06, if not it is just a poser car.
Technicly all ZO6s are Coupes. They are FRCs or Fixed Roof Coupes. Now if you are refering to the fast back design with the removable top, No there were not any fast back coupes that came off the C5 assembly line called ZO6s.
There have been many aftermarket conversions, suppension, and engine upgrades.

All Z06's are FRC from the factory. You can tell if it's Z06 by checking the VIN - all Z06's have "S" as the eighth character of the VIN (LS6 engine).

All other C5's (fast back coupes, Non Z06 FRC's and covertibles) the 8th digit of the VIN will be a G
This is the real answer, Thanks Glennm27. Every component from a Z can be purchased and installed on a coupe. Many do in fact. It's called raiding the parts bin. But the subsequent car will NOT be a Z06.
