Default Rear Diff Gear

I am another new kid on the block with a bad *** toy. 2000 nassau blue a4. Was wondering if someone could tell me how to find out which size gear my ride has. Is there a sticker that says gear size located some where on vette.

Thanks

Welcome aboard.

You have an A4 so you either have 2.73 or 3.15 gears.

Check the glove box for your option codes sticker.

GU2 signifies 2.73's

G92 signifies 3.15's

Of course if your car has not been modified.

Post the last 8 digits of your vehicle number and we'll lookup the rear end option along with the rest of your vehicle history and all it's options.

There is a Getrag gear tag located on the gear housing indicating size. However, it could have been left after gear modification, but I doubt it.
