Default ? about replacing power window motors

The passenger side window wont go down. So I'm going to replace to motor (I know about the "smacking" trick, but I want a more permanent fix).

I just replaced the window motors in my 1999 grand prix, and it was really easy, cuz the motors were held on with screws instead of rivets.

So I was wondering, are the vette motors screwed to the door panel, or held on by rivets that i have to drill out?

I recently changed my passenger side window reglator and it was a pretty easy job to do. No rivets.

F.Y.I. My rebuilt window regulator cost me $125.00.

so were there just 3 bolts holding it in? And are they the ones in the center of the door (see pic)

Also, how did you get the motor out, did you ahve to take the black pannel out on the right of the door (see pic)?

I'm getting the motor for free from the guy I bought the car from.

Yes, I had to remove the black panel.........its held on by some type of caulking....no big deal. Thats where a took my assembly in and out of.

I replaced the entire assembly, so I removed (If I remember correctly) 5 screws. The 3 that you refer to, one below the black panel and one towards the front....on the under side of the door. (not shown in the photo)
