Theoretically speaking, how many stock wheels can you fit in the trunk of a C5 vert.

I don't know....how many? Theoretically speaking of course.

My guess is three with the top up, two with the top down and no tires mounted.

Theoretically, if you melt them down, I bet you could get fifteen or twenty in there!

On a more serious note, i doubt you could get more than 3. Of course, there may be an empty seat next to you if you're trying to get a set down to the tire shop.

My guess too ...and 3 with top up could be a tight fit.

When I bought my vert a few months ago - they gave me the stock wheels and put all 4 in the trunk. No tires, just the wheels. I couldn't believe it. I had my girlfriend with me - I told the salesman if they had to they could put the wheels in the passenger seat and she could ride in the back. She didn't think that was funny. Of course we had the top up - (it was raining ) I'm always amazed at how much room there is!!

So I guess this is like the question - "How many licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?" I got 4 but I haven't tried 5 - didn't really check to see if there was room - Anyone!???

4 is all I need. Don't take this the wrong way, but I'd love to have a 2nd person confirm this before I drive ~3hrs to pick up a set.

No joke - all 4 - no tires of course - had the rings in the carpet for about 4 weeks. you may have to stagger them - remember 2 are 17" and 2 are 18". I wish I would've taken a pic! You can do it, I have faith in you!

Man that's great news. I didn't want to have to drive the g/f's Bravada for 3hrs each way.

just make sure you dont try and put the tires in there

.. it doesnt work well.

figured that out when i first ordered my tires from tire rack ..

... the 17s might work .. but the 18s are too large.

No - cover was in - I picked it up from the dealer and drove it home that day - top up and four Wagons in the trunk. 2 hours from home. Akron to Columbus.

Have them shipped UPS for $75 bucks and save your tires and big $$$$$ for fuel.
