Default Memory Settings Issue

I have 2 memory settings coded in my 99. when I unlock the car and start the engine sometimes memory 1 will kick in other times memory 2. Any idea why that is???

Yeh. The numbers corr espond to numbers on the back of the remotes. Open w/ remote one, it'll go to the #1 setting. Number two, ditto.

Default I use the same remote all the time

it is random - i never know what setting will occur when i turn the key on - i never use the other FOB

I love my car but its the same as yours. I never know what setting I'm going to get. I use key #1 and sometimes it works sometimes not. Every few weeks it will even try to jam me into the dash when I get in.

I just set memory positions to be the same on #1 & #2. As I'm the only driver, doesn't matter which key I use.

I only got the #2 fob, now it all makes sense for me too!
I guess I will make my settings #2 not #1.

I think it may have something to do with the amount of times you press it as to which memory selection it activates.

I agree.I have both memory 1 and 2 set the same, the "easy entry" is turned off, and still the seat sometimes moves on it's own.... Maybe the psychic Sylvia Browne is right, and our deceased relatives come back once in a while to bust our chops!
