Default idle problem

on my 2001 m6 C5 when i go WOT and release the gas pedal and put the tranny in neutral the idle stays at round 2000 rpms. it take about 10 to 15 seconds brfore the idle comes back down to normal. I have a haltech stinger intake and borla stinger exhaust on it. Otherwise its stock.
Any ideas?
thanks

Check and make SURE that the ducting between the Throttle Body and the MAF are properly connected and tight. That is the most probable cause. There can be ZERO air leaks!!!

Also check the DTC codes that might be storred in the DIC. If there are any, post them.

If all of that checks out, remove the air ducting from the throttle body, insert the key in the ignition, turn the ignition to ON and have some one mash the gas pedle as you watch the butterfly valve. It shoud go from fully shut to fully open in a nice smooth motion with out any lost motion, noise, sloppp, ot shuddering. I just checked mine last weekend. It is really cool to see it open and shut!

While you have everything apart, push the butterfly open, spray some carb cleaner in there and wipe the back side and front side of the valve and the area where the valve seats. You will fine it is most likely nasty!!
