Are you saying it closes, but one side sticks up? Or when you close it, one side latches, but the other doesn't?

Thanks for clarifying.

Actually, it sounds pretty normal ...

But check the stoppers on each side of the engine bay ... along the cow. Check to see if they are level. You may need to lower the one side that isn't closing.

It's possible that the rubber gromets/stops located at the upper corners of the hood have a little wear on them from opening/closing too much. Double check that. If it's not the problem, has the hood been removed for any reason? If so, then it was re-installed mis-aligned. If this was the case, it will be a two-man job to fix it. (Not required, but would be much easier with two people). One to hold it in place in proper aligment, while the other torques the bolt down. Good luck!

hmm i dnt no how a rock got into it but i do have a theory, my dad has recently put in the "ducts" by where the foglamps are, like the Z06, and he has yet to put the screens on it, there on the way, but could it be possible, a rock went in it, and found sumplace to settle down under the hood??

First thing is don't close it from the middle. Let it down to about 12 -15 inches from closed and just let go. That usually does the trick. If that doesn't do it you may have an adjustment problem as others have pointed out.

In any event, if it is ever not completely closed press down on the open side about 8 inches forward from the window edge. The latches are not right at the corners. Never press in the middle.

Pushing closed from the middle of the hood will frequently have one side latch and not the other - you can rarely get the same force on both sides and your just twisting the hood.

ROCKS - OMG!
